cradle kvasir Knowledge: Initiate Commenthi I found a book (the complete idiots guide to voodoo). It had a list of resources - this was one of them. I just wanted to thank you for putting this site up. Name: Comment I am a 16 year old white Cuban
American. Even though I do not pratice vodou i do pratice another religon originated in Africa and broght to Cuba in the same way it reached Haiti.
I visited your site because i am studying my religion with my spiritual father or as i would call him my godfather, but i also do my own studying on my own
time. Since now it would not be a disrespect to learn in details my religion because i have been
initiated. I am also studying the yoruba language because it is used both in Santeria as Palo, but that not an easy task because there are so many different dialects. As, i've said in my pior comment I was pleased with your site because it give me another view of what my religion evolved to. In the begining of my comments i stated the fact that I am white, i did this because color seem to be in issue atleast with americans who don't believe in this religion. In cuba a great percent of initives are white. It is actually very normal for you to practice the religion no matter what your ancestor were or did. Name: Prounce Commenthey!! Whats up Name:

Thomas La Homme CommentI am very interested in the Vodou religon. I've read a number of books on the subject, and find it to be an endless scource of fascination. While I do not subscribe to any religeon myself (I'm agnostic), I'm willing to keep an open mind. I'd be interested in corresponding with a member of the Vodou faith in order to get a better understanding of it and to see if there are any Hounfors in my area (I live in San Antonio, Texas), as I would like to attend a ceremony and witness first hand possesion by the loa. -Thomas La Homme Name:

Angela Hoag Comment I visited Haiti in summer of '89 and spent 3 days as an initiate in your temple at Le Peristyle
de Mariani. Alice, my spiritual mother took care of me in the shrine. I have never experienced such peace or felt so connected in Spirit. I visited Haiti with Mambo Fatema and Joseph of New Jersey. I have since married and my last name has changed, but my spirit longs to connect to my spiritual roots again. Name:
Ray T. Malbrough CommentBeing born in New Orleans and now living in Pennsylvania, I have always been interested in Vodou. Have read and have the books by Milo Rigaud; Les secrets du vodou and vè-vè diagrammes rituels du vodou. Anna Yam CommentI have interest in taking herbalism into western medicine, educating the "educated" Many, many people use herbs at the same time as pharmaceuticals. Herbalists cannot stay uninformed of interactions, nor can western medicine practitioners. There are many people in Santa Cruz, Calif who would want to hear more from you. Name: Duncan CommentOH MY GOD THE MUSIC ROCKS Name:
Dreamer Commentcan't leave san diego ca because of probation but wat to learn all that i can. frustrated with charlatans and "wanabees". see voodoo as an interseting map of an inconcievably god, and ourselves(realy the samething) useing archtypical forces as land marks Name:

Name: Andreas Guggenberger CommentDear Sir I'm very interrested in Yoruba tradition. I am working with cubanien Babawlawoo who like to give me the warriors that we can start work together, what is not possible now because I am not initiated. I am very interrested in the vodoun healing rituals like in Benin or Bantu from Kamerun. I am interrest what you are doing exatctly. Are you an university for tradtional medicin? I would like to start knowing more about your work. I am living in Germany/Europe. Greetings and gratulations for you homepage Andreas Name: HOLLIE MONROE Commentthis site is very informative and interesting Name:
Kitta CommentI love your site. It would really satisfy my desire to learn about this religion if you sent me more information about the culture, rituals, etc. My family think that vodun is bad because they are ignorant of the religion. Help me please! My address is 112 Artis Street, Franklin, Va 23851. Thank You. Name: Toni Hannah CommentThis is a good website. It is helping me out a lot Name: Dennis A. George CommentAlthough I am not Haitian, I have always felt a strong interest in voudoo as a religion.
CommentI came here simply to look at the Web site design and found so much more. A sincere thank you for sharing. For once I am at loss for words. Webmaster : beautiful and very useful site - A must see ! Name: Lawrence Perry CommentI've just scratched the surface of what seems to be the most dynamite website of this kind ever! But....what more can I say of the charismatic presence of the incomparable Max Beauvoir! Thanks Max! Our initial meeting in (Port-au-Prince) New Jersey last summer has guided ,and strengthened me ever since. Now, I hope to see you again this summer. God bless you and keep you and yours until then. Peace, Lawrence Perry Name: Ariette Jeanisca CommentI love this website, i just happen to fall into it playing around on the web. I have learned a lot, especially about my flags and the history behind them. I will continue to come to this website to educate myself and my children. Thank you and thank God for showing the people that we are capable of doing good. Name: mary e. moore Name: Lisa Carol Wilson Lockhart CommentI have studied and practiced my Full Mon Blessing rituals for quite some time now, but, being disabled on limited money, and having much sickness in my life has slowed me down terribly so, but I respect this religion, and honor it highly. I love God, just as you people also love God and everyone should be free to worship God as they please, I go to New Orleans, LA as much as I can, and pay respects to the late, great, Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau, since she helped the sick, needy, and the poor, just as I have helped people myself in this life. I want to get initiated into this group, but I am sort of lost as to how I must go about it. I am willing to learn more, and My candles, incense really helps me when I meditate and pray, I dance when I am able, and play drums when I am able, and I have a college degree, so at least I do understand how precious this religion is. People who are not educated do not realize how this religion is an official religion! More later, I am delighted to find love in this Temple, and the warmth I feel, tells me i am in the right place., and people are just jealous of me because I am generous and have many musician friends, actor friends, etc., but I am on a tight budget, receiving the disability I get once per month--and I hope the question I asked can be resolved for the better, so that I can have money and a secure future, because I know I did not do what the court claims I have done, they said they picked me up because I did not show up for court June 3rd of 2001! That was A Sunday! Plus, I was A witness for the State, against actual estranged husband who was threatening his wife, and I lived in the court all summer long, and I asked the Lawyer, where was my Subpeona, since June 3rd fell between the 3 months I was in court to defend my female friend from May 12, to August 15, 2001! Seriously speaking, Lisa L. Name: Gregory Lilavois Hounsi Yasuve CommentEver since I knew Max and worked with him, his Mambo's, and Houngans at The Temple of Yahweh, I became a person who understood and respect Vodoun as a rich religion. No other religion in my life had made me personally see so much about life through spirituality then Vodoun. Vodoun gave me the opportunity to cleanse my spirit and made me see the mistakes I have made in my life and correct it at the same time. With Vodoun, I am able to progress in a life that will be full of peace and happiness. This is why I thank you so much Mr. Beauvoir for what you have done for me in my life. For those who would view Vodoun as an evil religion, I urge them to not be ignorant and study it. You will be amaze to see what kind of rich religion Vodoun is. Name: LANTZ CommentI BELIEVE THIS WEBSITE IS THE BEST ONE I EVER VISITED YOUR WEBSITE HAS SO MUCH INFORMATION WE NEED THIS WEBSITE GIVES PEOPLE AN UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS RELIGION WE BELIEVE IN IS NOT BAD OR EVIL (IT IS PURE AND BEAUTIFUL,) AND I HOPE THAT YOU CONTINUE THE GREAT TEACHINGS OF VOODOO.
